Comparison of select Minolta SR-T Models

The photos and captions below illustrate the main differences among the SR-T series models as sold and marketed in the US. I do not own a SR-T 100 or 200, but I do have a SC which is the same as the 200 as far as I can tell. The 100 only had shutter speeds to 1/500. The MC, MCII, SC and SCII models were produced under contract for department stores, oil companies and credit card companies. Most of these don’t have a self-timer.

Other than the SR-T 101, these models were named differently (and occasionally had different features) outside of the US.

SR-T 102

SR-T Super (Japan)
SR-T 303 (Europe) – did not have aperture visible in viewfinder.

SR-T 201

SR 101 (Japan)
SR-T 101B (Europe)

SR-T 202

SR 505 (Japan)
SR-T 303B (Europe)

Since these were produced for a relatively long time, there are undoubtedly more subtle variations between early and late models of each. A not-so-subtle variation of the SR-T 102 featured the mirror lock-up early on but it did not appear on the later 102 models.
