The Spotmatic F (SP F) of 1973 was basically the same camera as the SPII with two differences. Firstly, there was an added shutter release lock switch on the top surrounding the shutter release. Secondly – and most importantly – open aperture metering. All other Spotmatics prior to the F used stop-down metering.
