Konica Autoreflex T2

1971

Konica Autoreflex T2 front.

The next generation of the Autoreflex T was what we refer to today as the T2. However, it was only ever marketed as a new, improved “T”. The best way to tell a T from a T2 outwardly is the location of the On/Off switch. On the original T, it is located on the back of the camera, left of the viewfinder. On the T2, it is located on a collar that rotates around the shutter release button. The T2 is a fully mechanical camera that offers shutter-priority AE. Batteries are only needed to power the meter. These cameras are relatively robust, and many can still be found in working order. The Konica bayonet lenses (K/AR mount) are also very good and well-built.
