Marketed as a mid-tier model, the T70 was a big step up from the T50 that debuted a year earlier. It was a multi-mode SLR that offered manual, shutter-priority, program and TTL preset aperture AE. Dials were done away with in favor of buttons and an LCD info panel.
Film rewind and advance were automatic. The speed of advance, however, was a paltry 0.7 frames per second.
