Canon T50

Canon T50

After all that had been done to lure users away from 126 and 110 “no-decision” cameras to 35mm, 1983 saw a nearly 30% reduction in sales of SLRs. Canon’s take was that SLRs had become increasingly confusing to the casual user – due to the high competition among the major manufacturers trying to market the next best thing. So their response was the T50.

Simple controls of the T50

The T50 was a camera anyone could take pictures with. And while full-program mode was available on the AE-1P, this camera featured ONLY a program mode and a much-reduced price.

The camera offered automatic film-loading and advance but manual rewind.
