Busch Precision Camera Corporation

Busch Precision Camera Corporation was located in Chicago, Illinois and produced a few well-made press cameras in the late 1940s and early 1950s. There is not a lot of background information on the company out there that I can find, other than they also provided at least one of these models for Sears Roebuck to be branded as Tower. What I know about their cameras I have learned from personal experience.

I picked up a Busch Pressman Model D (4×5) years ago at an antique store, and for years it sat on display in my office. Then one day it hit me – why don’t I restore it and shoot with it? So I did. You can check out the gallery here.

So began my love of large-format photography.
